Wurtsboro is located in the beautiful Catskills region of New York, about 1.5 to 2.5 hours from New York City. We've put together travel information for a multitude of modes - by plane, train, or car - to help make your journey as smooth as possible.
By Plane
To get to Wurtsboro by plane, fly into one of three following airports:
Newark International Airport (EWR)
New York LaGuardia Int. Airport (LGA)
John F. Kennedy Int. Airport (JFK)
From EWR and LGA, the venue is about a 1.5 to 2 hour drive. From EWR you can also catch the train via NJ Transit (see details below).
From JFK, it’s a 2 to 2.5 hour drive (you have to drive through Queens, the Bronx, and part of Manhattan).
By Train
To get to Wurtsboro by train, take NJ Transit to Secaucus Junction Station (from Penn Station) and transfer to the Main/Bergen County/Port Jervis line.
From Secaucus, it takes about 1.5 hours to get to Middletown, NY station where we’ve booked a hotel block (see the Lodging page).
Check the timetables for weekdays if you will be arriving Friday and the weekends schedule if you are arriving Saturday.
If you plan on taking the train up, just a heads up that getting a Lyft or Uber in the Middletown/Wurtsboro area is not always easy and there is not a local taxi service.
By Car
To get to Wurtsboro by car, head to New Jersey and take NJ-17 N, which connects to I-87 N, then take NY-17 W.
Driving time from New York City will vary depending on where you are coming from and what traffic is like, but it can take anywhere from 1.5 to 2.5 hours (or more depending on traffic in the city).
